We start off by figuring out an interesting research problem to attack for each participant. This involves identifying an area of study, gathering enough basic information of it to draft a problem statement, and formulating hypotheses to investigate. We might of course change our minds down the road, but without an initial hypothesis, there is nowhere to start.
This module will help you do the following:
Submission deadline: by Session 2.
Submitted material: a single PDF file with the formulated hypothesis/hypotheses (more than one if in-depth stage is included), along with a list of sources consulted in the preparation of said hypotheses.
Describe in writing at least one hypothesis for your applied computational research project. Include illustrations and references to sources as appropriate.
